Uterine blood flow assessment by colour Doppler for prediction of malignant endometrial pathologies in women with abnormal uterine bleeding

Introduction: Colour Doppler has emerged as useful adjunct to transvaginal sonography in evaluation of women with AUB. This study was carried out evaluate the role measurement Resistance index (RI) and Pulsatility (PI) uterine arteries by discriminate between benign malignant endometrial condition abnormal bleeding.Material Methods: prospective analytical performed 70 (30-60 years) Spiral arterioles flow patterns, (with 0.81 cut off) 1.83 were analysed colour after detailed TVS. They compared Histopathological report Endometrial Aspiration biopsy. Results: 10 patients (14.3%) had RI malignancy range (> 0.81) 9 (12.9%) PI (< 1.83). Out these 8 both range. Thus 11 cases (15.7%) having either RI/PI or both, considered be suspected malignancy. cases, 5 diagnosed have Hyperplasia/Malignancy on histopathology. There no False Negative making sensitivity 100% specificity 90.7% TVS Doppler. For vascular hyperplasia scattered vessel pattern all 3 carcinoma multiple pattern, association AUB diagnosis significant (p<0.001).Conclusion: artery spiral arteries, improves diagnostic accuracy for prediction pathologies facilitates screening premalignant lesions. Therefore, it is recommended that CDTU should used modality patient.
